The cap
The cap is a leather or synthetic hat with a visor which allows being less dazzled. Fashionable since the beginning of the 19th century, young people and
sportsmen appreciate it for his light and practical aspect.
In the 19th century the cap was in fashion for the uniforms of work (driver, gatekeeper, caretaker, conductor, etc). The cap then was directly inspired by the
military uniforms and in particular by the kepi.
In the Twenties, the cap of baseball becomes a daily object in the United States. It was popularized by the player Babe Ruth who played for the Yankees of New York at the top of his career in
1927.
Then in the years 1960, it becomes the symbol of the academic in dissension with his consuming parents, and also of the immigrants and the poor.
The cap became a symbol of the hip-hop mode since the years 1980: everybody wears it today in the whole world, with the visor on the side or behind according to the fashion.

a too serious accessory, symbol of conformism.
This accessory is still very with the mode. It is very often carried in professional environments and also with a uniform (like that of the police officers).
